Thoughtful Branches Emboss Resist

I love the effect you get using the emboss resist technique. It is a great technique for making your own backgrounds for your cards, or just to make your stamped images pop

 

I've used the Thoughtful Branches stampset and corresponding die to create this card and I love how it has turned out.

To make my background, I stamped the leaf image onto Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White embossing powder, then heat set it with my heat gun. Once that was done, I sponged all over the card with Pool Party ink, then stamped the splodge with Crumb Cake ink (I can't remember which stampset that was from!). Then with a tissue, you just wipe away the excess ink.  The embossed leaves really pop. I used the same technique to create the sentiment.
