I hope there are other people out there like me who are so not ready for Christmas!!! I haven't even STARTED to make my own christmas cards yet and here it is - December already. I have my first Christmas function on Monday night and I just relaised today that I didn't have a present to give my friend and I hadn't made her a card either! So, shopping this morning and then onto making the card this afternoon. PHEWW!!
What I decided to do though, is to make a Christmas tag to hang on her present that could double as a card as well. Here it is:
It was quick and simple to make and uses left over scraps of card. I even CASE'd the layout from a card that is in the current Holiday Mini Catalogue. The tag opens up like a card so I can write a message inside.
The inside is very simple, with just a double layer of Very Vanilla cardstock with a Christmas greeting stamped on the bottom (I've already written in it though so I can't show you!)
I've used the 'Heart Of Christmas' stamp to make the card and coloured it with Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Crumb Cake markers. The layer behind the stamped image as been embossed using the Houndstooth embossing folder and I've used the Edgelits - Finishing Touches sizzlets to create interesting edges.
