Saying Goodbye to 'Just Believe'

Another one of the stampsets that is retiring this month:

 

 'Just Believe', and 'French Foliage' stamps have been used on this card with Early Espresso and Baja Breeze ink & cardstock. Sadly Baja Breeze is also being retired. Don't forget, you only have until the end of the month to get any of the retiring products!!

 

Blooming With Kindness

I've CASE'd this card from Sandi MacIver:

I loved the vibrancy in the colours of the flower and the layout of the card. Stampsets are 'French Foliage' (splodge, leaves and text) and 'Blooming With Kindness'. Ink colours are Summer Starfruit, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze

Affection Collection Birthday Card

Found this card on my camera that I made a while ago and forgot to post!!

 The stamp on this one is from "Affection Collection" and I've also used 'French Foliage' as well. Ink colours are Summer Starfruit, Basic Black, Really Rust and Crumb Cake. Paper is from Comfort Cafe.

MOJO Monday Sketch 264

I have not been all that regular in keeping my blog up-to-date of late. Time is a precious commodity that I dont have a lot of at the moment!! But I guess I'm not the only one in that boat! However, I finished a job early today and had a bit of time up my sleeve, so took a breather and thought I would participate in this weeks MOJO Monday challenge.

I wanted to create a masculine card, so I used the gorgeous Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper and matching cardstock. I love these earthy colours!!

Happiest Wishes

These are a couple of birthdays cards I made recently using the "Happiest Birthday Wishes Stampset".

I've used paper that was only available in the 'Sale-A-Bration' catalogue to create both this card and the next (Love, LOVE this paper - shame I've got none left!!).

Here is the second one:

This one is a little bit different - I have also cut a doily form the die-cut sheet in the 'Flirtatious Specialty' DSP pack.  Becasue the colour didn't suit my project, I turned it over and coloured the back with a brayer. Cool, Huh!!

Inspired By Nature Meets Upsy Daisy

I can't believe it has been so long since I have updated my blog!!!  Where on earth does the time go!  I must admit I have been pretty much under the pump for the last few of months, with no time left to breathe! But, I have a couple of moments so I thought I would chill out and share with you a card that I made recently:

The inspiration for this card came from  a friend (who also happens to be in my team!!). Kim held a cardmaking day a couple of weeks ago and this is one of the cards made on the day.

I have changed the design slightly - adding a few layers, used an extra couple of stampsets and added some ribbon but otherwise the design was hers. Isn't it lovely?? (I think so anyway).

Three of the stampsets used to create this card are on the retiring list, so if you are interested in getting them before they are gone, I suggest you get in quick!!

Faith In Nature Birthday Card

Two posts in one day!!!

I've been wanting to use the 'Faith In Nature' stampset ever since I bought it, but haven't had the opportunity to do so until now.  I found a tutorial for making a 6 Fold card on Splitcoast, but through lack of concentration (not unusual for me!!) I did a little whoopsy and mine has ended up as a 4 fold card - LOL!

I've used the really yummy Spice Cake Dsp for this card (in the Summer Mini catty), which I just LOVE!!! Considering I made a booboo, I think it still turned out OK. What do you think??

Telescoping Cards

I've seen a few of these Telescope cards around lately and I wanted to make a birthday card that was a little bit different for my friend, so I thought I would give one a try. They are really quite easy and fun to make.

I've used circles to make my card, but you can really use any shape you like that works well, they just need to be different sizes. I'm going to use this card as a tag on her birthday present!! Hope she likes it!!

SAM October Challenge

Hey all! It's Stamp A Memory challenge time again! This month, the challenge was to scrap your fears. I had a hard time with this one - and I'm still to do the journalling for it!!

This is the page, ready for the journalling to go into the pocket:

 

I'm not afraid of creepy crawlies or anything like that (except perhaps cockroaches!!!). My fears are more of a personal nature - which is why I've created the pocket to contain my journalling.

I am a very shy & insecure person and one of my biggest fears is of never being able to fit in. I am also worried about never being good enough.  There are other fears I have, which I don't want to publicly state, some of which are fact and not fears unfortunately! I found it quite therapeutic to do this page though and I'm glad it is (almost) complete!

I wanted a vintage feel  for this layout, so I chose the 'Well Worn' Designer Series Paper - it was just perfect! And what do you think of the new lace border punch? Isn't it fabulous!! I can see I will be getting a lot of use out of that punch for sure!

Growing Green

Here's a card I made yesterday using the 'Growing Green' stampset:

 
The Growing Green stampset is a line image set so you can colour the image however you want. For this card, I have stamped on watercolour paper using versamark ink and heatset it with black embossing powder. I've then used my inkpads and aqua pen to colour the images with Certainly Celery & Old Olive ink (for the stems) and Bashful Blue & Marina Mist for the flowers.

I've also used the French Foliage & Grunge Rock stampsets to give my card a more vintage feel. I am really quite happy with the way this card has turned out and think I might make a couple more!
