Having a play with a new stampset and die that will be released in the new catalog in June. Quite like how it turned out!

Love You Lots

Mixing up a bit of old and new for this card. Not 100% sure whether I like how this has turned out yet - it may be a bit too busy for me,  but here goes:

I've CASE'd the layout for this card from a craft magazine. The little frog and the sentiment is from the "Love You Lots" Hostess stampset and the banner is from the "Thoughtful Banners" stampset - punched out with the corresponding punch. I've used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits die to make the hearts and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets Die for the swirly diecut. All of these are available to see in the new Annual Catalogue that went live yesterday. Cardstock is Basic Black and Whisper White. The patterned paper is retired stock (sorry!!)

Vintage Butterfly Basics

I cased this card from Pinterest the other day - just added a few little extras to make it my own. It's really not that different from the original (the original card was by Lisa Young) - I just added a brad and changed the patterned paper used:

Amazing Mother

I have been making a few Mother's Day cards over the last couple of weeks so I thought I would share with you the one I have made for my Mum:

I've used the gorgeous Eastern Elegance  papers to make this card, together with the 'Amazing Family', 'My Mother' and 'Occasional Greetings' (retired) stampsets. I love the colours in these papers and have used the coordinating inks (Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Early Espresso as a contrast). I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

This card is called a Lever Fold card - it's a little time consuming to make but well worth the effort!! I've used the Framelits Chalk Talk die to create the tag and the largest die from the Framelits Squares collection to cut out the aperture in the front of the card. The flower has been created using the Originals Blossom Party Die and Coastal Cabana cardstock

I Think You're Lovely

I Love it!!  I have stamped the image twice and punched it out firstly with the coordinating Labels Die, and then again with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch. I've then layered them together with dimensionals and layered on top of patterned paper punched out with the larger label die.

The paper I have used is 'Etcetera Designer Series Paper".  I didn't have ribbon to match so I simply dyed Crumb Cake SeamBinding with Calyp0so Coral refill ink.

Snowflake Soiree Triple Layer Card

Triple Layer stamping seems to be all the rage at the moment so I thought I would give one a try. We made this one as part of a Christmas workshop yesterday:

They are so easy to make and look really effective don't you think?  The colours I've used in this card are Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze and Gumball Green. Most people make them with layers of all the same shape but I thought I would try something a little different and diecut the top layer with the Labels Collection Framelit Die

Happiest Wishes

These are a couple of birthdays cards I made recently using the "Happiest Birthday Wishes Stampset".

I've used paper that was only available in the 'Sale-A-Bration' catalogue to create both this card and the next (Love, LOVE this paper - shame I've got none left!!).

Here is the second one:

This one is a little bit different - I have also cut a doily form the die-cut sheet in the 'Flirtatious Specialty' DSP pack.  Becasue the colour didn't suit my project, I turned it over and coloured the back with a brayer. Cool, Huh!!

Welcome Baby

A friend of ours just recently had a gorgeous little baby girl and I wanted to make her a special card to welcome her new little daughter. It had to be pink (of course) so I thought I would use the Flirtatious Specialty DSP to see how it would turn out. This is what I made:

I quite like houw it turned out! it is a Double Z Fold card and when you open it up, this is what you get:

I think it looks bright and cheery with the lovely splash of pumpkin cardstock and paper!

The Open Sea

I've been having a play with 'The Open Sea' stampset and macthing paper - 'Nautical Expedition' from the Summer Mini catalogue. Such a great stampset and perfect for creating male cards! I know I always struggle making masculine cards!

Here is the my first card:

I really like this stampset - it has a very vintage, olde worlde feel to it. This is the inside:

Very plain, but you can use the card for any occasion really just by adding a sentiment of your choice - or none at all!

Here is my second card using this stamp set:

I've made this one specifically for my Dad's birthday which is coming up in March (hence the big Dad on the front!!)
