Just thought I'd share with you a Christmas Gift set we did recently at an in-home workshop with some of my customers:

OK, as promised, here is the tutorial for the Christmas Gift Box:
Step 1:
For the box base, you will need a piece of cardstock measuring 20cm x 24.5cm. Score this piece at 4cm on each side. Fold in along all your score lines and burnish with a bone folder to get a nice crisp fold. Cut along the 24.5cm score line to the 20cm score line at each corner to form your tabs.
Step 2:
Turn the cardstock over and apply sticky strip to each of the four tabs.
Step 3:
Remove the backing from the sticky strip and adhere the tabs to the inside of your box as shown below:
Your finished base:
Step 4:
The top of the box is made in exactly the same way as the base but with different measurements. You will need a piece of cardstock measuring 21.75 cm x 17.5cm. Score at 2.5cm on all four sides. Fold in along your score lines and burnish the edges with a bone folder.. Cut along the 21.75cm score line to the 17.5cm score line to form your tabs.
Step 5:
Turn your cardstock over and apply sticky strip to all four tabs.
Step 6:
Adhere your tabs to the inside of your box lid, same as you did on the base. Voila! you are done - here is the finished box:
You are now ready to decorate your box as you wish! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and found it easy to follow.

Just thought I would share with you a couple of the Make & Takes we made at Regionals last week:
Both items have been created using the 'Every Moment' stamp set from the new catalogue and because they are line stamps, they lend themselves very well to watercolouring ( which I love to do!!) The images here have been coloured with inkpads and an aqua painter. The spritzer tool has also been used with markers to give the spatter effect. Great fun!!
I love the little Fancy Favor box on the right - it has been made using the Fancy Favor die and the Bigshot

Aren't these purses just gorgeous??
These are the result of a workshop we had yesterday where we all got to make these pretty purses. They are big enough to hold 5 cards & envelopes or can be used to fill with whatever you like to give as a gift. It's amazing how different they all look just by using different papers. Aren't they just divine!

I've been having a play with the new Top Note Die that Stampin' Up! has in the latest mini catty. This die is so versatile - I just love it!
Firstly I have created this card:
The inspiration for this card was from a colour challenge on this round of UStamp. The colours to be used were Barely Banana, Melon Mambo and Bashful Blue.
I have used one of my favourites stamp sets - 'Upsy Daisy' and a sentiment from the 'Sweet Little Sentiments' stamp set. The image has been stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and I have coloured it with pastels. Isn't the ribbon just gorgeous? It is the new Melon Mambo polkadot ribbon from the new mini catty.
This second project is actually a giftbox with a card on top:
Again I have used the Top Note Die to create this project but this time I have used the Emerging Colour Technique. The images I have used are the Large Medallion stamp and the Vintage Vogue Stamp set. Colours used are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Really Rust and Baha Breeze. The flower has been made with the large flower punch from Stampin' Up. Unfortunately it is not available in Australia yet. My punch was actually gifted to me by a lovely and talented lady named Dawn Rapsas from UStamp. I encourage you to visit Dawn's blog and join up with UStamp. You will get to make some fabulous projects and meet some very talented ladies from all over the world!

Aren't these gift boxes cute? And they are super easy to make. This box was designed bythe very talented Penny Hanuszak for this round of Ustamp.
I made three of them and decorated them with papers from the Candy Lane DSP. They were filled with Cadbury Favourites and I took them down and gave them to my family for Easter today.

I was very honoured and excited to be asked to be a Guest Designer on this round of UStamp and now that it has been posted, I can share with you what I have created.
I just love purses - they are so cute and very versatile. You can fill them with matching cards and give as a gift set - or fill with goodies instead it's up to you! This one has been made with "A Good Egg" stamp set and Candy Lane paper but you can decorate to suit the occasion.

This is another project from this round of UStamp, designed by the very talented Kirsty Brown. It's a darling little matchbox and matching card. Would make a fabulous Valentines Day giftset for someone you love!
Here is my creation:
I have used the Parisien Breeze DSP with this one again 'cos I just love it. Wish we could still get it (**sigh**). For the Belly-Band on the box, I stamped one of the hearts from the 'I {Heart} Hearts' stamp set with versamark ink, then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder before heat setting it. The tag was created using a Stampin' Up! metal edge tag and layering it with pink pirouette, bashful blue, & confetti white cardstock, then punching a hole with the crop-a-dile for the twine to be fed through. A small heart was punched from Regal Rose cardstock and adhered with dimensionals.
The Designer Brad on the card has just been wrapped around the ribbon and pressed closed. I wasn't going to add the three bsashful blue brads but I think it needed it to balance the card out. What do you think??

OK, so how are everyone's plans for Christmas going? Got your Christmas cards done yet?? I sat down the other day and made quite a few, some more intricate than others. This card here is a very simple and easy design to do, but I think it is very effective. It is a good one for mass producing.
I have used the 'Snow Swirled' stamp set in this one and stamped the snowflake as a background image on the card base. Just for a change (and to use up some of my stash!) I have used some of my last years' Christmas DSP to make the card, though I think this card would look great with this years DSP as well - I will make some up to show you so watch this space!
To go with the cards, I have created this ever so simple little gift bags to match. A great idea to fill with choccies or some hand-made cards, or even some home-baked cookies! We are having a Christmas Stamping Day next Saturday (5th December) and I thought these little bags would make a great little welcome gift to all the girls that are attending! The stamp sets used on these gift bags are also discontinued but you could use anythign you like to make your tags.
