I just have a couple of piccies that I would like to share with you!! We have just got 3 new lambs to raise. Two of them are older but one was only about 2 days old at the time ( he is now about a week old). 'Cos he is so tiny and it is sooo cold here at the moment, I have borrowed a little jacket that belongs to Diggers - my friend Bev's little dog - just so I can keep him warm at night. Doesn't he look cute!!
And he just loves it!
Since the lambs have arrived, the kangaroos have had their noses put out of joint big time!! They didn't like them at all - thumping the ground and taking off down the back of the paddock. They have been there ever since. But it has now been 5 days since the lambs have been here and the kangaroos are slowly starting to accept them. This is Suzi starting to get a little inquisitive:
Right after this shot was taken though, the lamb on the right who we have named Luke Kneewalker ('cos he has a deformity and walks on his knee!) started gambolling and scared her away!

Hello Everyone,
I've been a bit busy over the last few days - I've just had a new joey given to me to look after. She is very tiny and a little underweight - just starting to get her fur. She is still touch & go at the moment and I've had a devil of a time trying to get her to feed! She wants to drink but doesn't open her tiny mouth far enough to get the teat right inside! But - I think I have finally had a breakthrough today. Fingers crossed!!
Anyway - I digress from what I wanted to show you! I received this lovely package in themail today from my swap sister, Jamie Adcock. Jamie is over in Japan! It is just gorgeous The photos don't quite do it justice though unfortunately and I am not the best photographer! I have a beautiful card, some chocolates and this divine waterfall album
This is a picture of the inside of the album. You pull the tab at the right and the pages all open up like a waterfall! I just need to fill it with photos!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but things have been a bit hectic workwise (what's new!) plus I've been trying to finish off some swaps to take to Regional Seminar this weekend (sooo looking forward to that!). I hope to have some piccies to show you soon.
But, I just had to share this photo with you! First - the story behind it. We have actually had a few days off and went up to Karratha to help celebrate my friends 50th birthday. While we were away, my dear friend Bev came out to our house each day to take care of my fur-babies for me. (I am a wildlife carer and have a number of joeys / adult kangaroos at home). Hayley (a little wallaroo) was still being bottle fed twice daily and even though she is out of the pouch and outside fulltime now, I left a couple of pouches hanging outside for her with some of my old clothing in them so she would still be able to smell me and so not fret too much. All was good, she was fine and they were all happy to see us when we got back home.
The funny thing is, another one of my joeys, Zac, who has been out of the pouch now for well over 6 months and is almost two years old, decided in the last couple of days that he wanted to get back in a pouch again!
WHAT A SOOK!!! Here he is:
He is much to big for it but he thought it was great! He is supposed to be being released back into the wild later this month with two others as well!
Here also are a couple of photos of our little holiday. We actually stayed on an island in the Dampier Archipelego called Malus Island. There is no power, shops etc on the island, just a limited number of approved shacks. It is a fantastic place to relax and unwind!
