Woot woot! Another post on the same day!!
First of all - I would like to thank my friend Bev for putting me on to these notebooks available from Kmart.
I've decorated one of the notebooks using the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. I love sunflowers and I love the colour yellow - my favourite!! And this stampset is just divine!! In this project I used Crushed Curry as my yellow! This is wonderful stampset and the coordinating dies are just fabulous. I really love how this project turned out I think I might be making this project for teacher gifts at the end of the year.
Here is my project:
To make this project, I stamped the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers set onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock using Pumpkin Pie ink. I then did the same with the smaller flower from the set. I then inked the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I also die cut an extra piece of the large die without stamping so I could layer together with dimensionals.
To make the leaves, I watercoloured watercolour paper with Old Olive ink and an aqua pen, these were then overstamped with the leaf image from the set and die cut. I have also die cut the overlay for the flower using gold foil so that I could lay on top of my stamped images. These were then adhered to Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front of a notebook.
Additional diecuts were cut from Old Olive and Crumb Cake cardstock using dies from the Sunflower Dies and layered together.
The title on this notebook was cut using Playful Alphabet dies and Foam Adhesive Sheets. A couple of ribbons to finish of and VOILA!
I hope you enjoy this project!
